Is the material in the footbath really toxins being released from my body?
Answer – Yes. We estimate about 70% of the material in the footbath tub comes from your body. (However, the color of the water will change with or without feet. That is because the ions also neutralize whatever is in your water source.)
How does the Detox Ionic Foot-Bath Work?
The Detox ionic Foot-Bath by AMD is proprietary and patented technology. It results in only biocompatible electrical frequencies entering the water. This elicits a relaxation response. The Detox Ionic Foot-Bath is a gentle, safe and effective detox tool that doesn’t require ingestion of supplements or injection of drugs. If the body is weighed down by toxins, the cells and receptors within the body are bogged down and cannot utilize nutritional supplements. The Detox Ionic Foot-Bath can remove the buildup of toxins so that supplements can be utilized by the body. The ions also help open up blocked detox pathways so the body can effectively remove toxins systemically.
The Detox Ionic Foot-Bath produces relaxation of the nervous system and can take you from a chronic sympathetic nervous response (fight or flight) to a parasympathetic nervous response (rest and digest). Anyone who falls into one or more of the categories listed below should not use the Detox Ionic Foot-Bath:

In addition, the following recommendations should be strongly considered:
• Many medications require that a blood level be maintained in order to be effective, such as blood pressure medication.
• If you have low blood sugar make sure you have eaten before the Detox Ionic Foot-Bath session. The Detox Ionic Foot-Bath tends to lower blood sugar in diabetics and may do so with those who are hypoglycemic.
• As a general rule, you can use the Detox Ionic Foot-Bath if you are on dialysis, take insulin, or have congestive heart failure. Gentle purification will help the body eliminate toxins which the kidney and heart cannot eliminate on their own, but will not interfere with medications or deplete insulin levels.
• You can still use the Detox Ionic Foot-Bath if you have a metal joint implant, although some have found the exposure to an electromagnetic field to be too uncomfortable. If you feel uncomfortable, ask your therapist to stop the session immediately.
